Snow can be such a beautiful thing to photograph, its so pure and clean and the white starkness against a blue sky can be breathtaking. The snow, like the rain (in fact, like all inclimate weather) presents unique opportunities, challenges and inspirations for the photographically inclined. It’s all about photo tips for shooting in the snow.  Snow photography taking pictures of snow can be very difficult if there are no contrasting colors the suns glare off of the snow can make it even more difficult. Adjust Your Exposure:
It can be difficult to find the right exposure if your shooting in the snow. Shoot the image using only +1/3 or +2/3 of a stop exposure compensation.
Metering:
The spot meter will serve you best to get most accurate photos. If you’re intended photo is predominantly the snow and ice, you might get away with using the center-weighted meter mode.
Light Source:
Also try shooting while the snow is falling, but avoid flash:
Use a Polarizing or other Filter:

Use a low ISO of 200-400 during sunrise or daytime:
You can use a high aperture number without using a tripod:
